I am an avid fan of simple wardrobe pieces, I love a good white t-shirt, a black tank, and simple neutral colours that go with everything.
Of course, I still own and purchase some prints and flavour of the month style clothing, but I always seem to gravitate back to basic pieces. One colour, simple design, and ease of washing is always high on my list when purchasing. I mean who wants to iron in 2020? Certainly not me!
While I am not a capsule wardrobe or minimalist kind of gal, I appreciate having a wide range of basics in my wardrobe. Even if you already own a white tank top, they can come in so many varieties and help change the everyday look easily.
For example, there are casual fitted cotton white tanks that you can team with shorts or there are v neck slinky viscose tanks that you can dress up with a skirt, heels, and a statement necklace. So don’t be afraid to own a few “simple pieces” but make sure they have some kind of difference so it does not look like you never do laundry and just wear the same top everyday!
I look for buttons, pockets, different sleeves, different lengths, and don’t forget different materials. I get them from everywhere, Best and Less, Cotton On, Kmart, Target, Big W, Ally Fashion, Supre and they are usually under $20.
So what items should you always have in your wardrobe?
Teaming these basics with jeans, shorts or skirts takes the guesswork out of getting dressed in the morning. And let’s face it, anything that makes your morning smoother is always welcome.
Here is a quick video of me actually wearing the clothes and then I have linked all items down below.
